Sometimes it feels like no matter what we do, we are "stuck" in a situation or experience that negatively affects our mood and/or relationships. Seeking therapy is courageous, proactive choice to get "unstuck." I believe the most important factor in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathic environment for clients to receive the assistance and support they need. My therapeutic approach is based on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and emotion focused modalities; although I personalize treatment to fit each individual, couple, or family. I work with a wide range of behavioral and emotional issues, and treat children, adolescents, couples, and families. I specialize in relationship based issues, whether you are coming in individually, as a couple, or part of a family system.

My Therapy Focus
As human beings, we are hard wired to want and need connection. Connecting to another person- as a friend, lover, parent- creates an attachment. Despite our innate drive for attachment, relationships can be difficult and troublesome! Being able to have fulfilling and mutually gratifying relationships is possible though. Learning how to accept differences, read each other's emotional messages, and practice empathic and assertive communication can help you create the relationships you desire. Relationship based counseling offers you the chance to learn the skills and tools necessary to have positive relationships in your life.
