My Approach to Helping
In working with individuals and couples, I aim to raise awareness, giving clients the power to make meaning of their lives and chart a better way forward in an integrative approach, using rational, emotional and survival brains. In dealing with marital conflict, personal trauma, stress, burnout and all types of medical issues, I combine mind/body/spirit and emotional/body work to release cellular memories, neurophysiological blocks and trapped pain to free clients of limited beliefs and negative patterns. I prefer a positive, goal orientated look into the future rather than a problem based focus on the past. I specialise in stress and burnout and recommend self-care programmes. I design counselling around the client, working with talk therapy, emotional release, energy and body realignment.

More Info About My Practice
I work individually, with couples and in groups, offering one on one counselling, marriage counselling and group counselling. As I am studying for my PhD, I work part-time and run a private counselling practice and am flexible in the hours of consultation, including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I specialise in rational, emotional and physical tension and trauma release because healing takes place on many levels. I have trained with some of the world's greatest healers - Dr Pat Cane, mind, body, spirit healing; Dr David Berceli, tension and trauma release exercises; Brandon Bays, emotional and cellular healing; Zeev Kolman, energetic healing; Ann Ross, emotional freedom technique. Whether clients suffer from anxiety, depression or difficult relationships, I offer a holistic and dynamic approach to life's positive possibilities.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy opens the door to self-discovery and empowers and heals.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I feel priveleged and honoured to be selected by clients to facilitate them on their healing journey, and I am always humbled by their ability to become empowered and to heal themselves. Healing is simple, it is an effortless and exciting journey! This approach is reflected in my client testimonials: “The therapy took me beyond my sense of being and into an extraordinary place of limitless possibilities. It was gentle, tough, kind, real, wholesome and ultimately forgiving. A journey worth taking.” Prof AB, Dr of Psychology. “I have felt a great lift of ugly weight – believing I had to feel and deserved all this guilt and pain and hardship. I am most grateful for a greater understanding – that I can have the courage and power to heal myself. I believe this will be ongoing, to stop criticising myself and to get my self worth back. Thank you, Sharon.”
