My Approach to Helping

I am a member of the Intensive Outpatient Program at Psychological Counseling Services (PCS). As an Associate Sexual Addiction Therapist and a professional member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health I specialize in sexual compulsivity issues and addictions. My other areas of focus are individuals, couples and families in recovery, men's issues and marriage/family cohesion. I value the family unit and see it as a fundamental beneficiary of therapy and recovery work done with people in a group and individual process. My passion is helping people address their most significant, shameful and concerning issues while restoring themselves to harmony and integrity. At my core is a drive to facilitate a realistic, practical and timely return to life for individuals, couples and families while spiritually reconnecting. I incorporate my experiences and compassion for people in my work and seek to encounter common ground upon which we can relate. In order to maximize your time and resources, and to not waste either, I am direct, efficient, thorough and not prone to being offended or shocked by your truth, secrets or honesty. My professional experience has afforded me the opportunity of working directly with a pioneer of sexual addiction recovery, Dr. Patrick Carnes, as well as an extraordianary clinical team treating people struggling with sexual addiction, relationship addiction and sexual anorexia in a world-renowned treatment program. In addition, my life experiences have taken me from my West-Coast roots to New Mexico, California, Utah, Mississippi, Arizona and around the world to Germany (3 years), England (1 year) and 2 years in Chile as a Spanish-speaking missionary. My wife and I are proud parents of two chldren.
