Intended Audience: Mental Health Professionals & General Public

Description

Our 8-week virtual eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) group is designed for adults who are experiencing the ongoing impact of trauma, anxiety, stress, or emotionally overwhelming life events. This group utilizes the G-TEP, a research-supported extension of EMDR therapy that helps individuals process difficult experiences in a safe, structured, and private way, without requiring participants to share their stories out loud. Facilitated by EMDR-trained clinicians, this group provides a supportive healing environment where participants can reduce emotional distress, increase stability, and build resilience. Each session includes grounding skills, guided EMDR-based exercises, and a structured protocol that allows you to work on your own experiences privately while still benefiting from the therapeutic power of a group setting. This group is ideal for adults who want trauma-focused support but prefer a more private, gentle format than traditional talk therapy groups. G-TEP has been shown to help reduce symptoms related to anxiety, trauma triggers, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm. Format: 8-week virtual group (via secure telehealth) Who It's For: Adults seeking trauma processing, stabilization, and emotional relief Led By: EMDR-trained clinicians Location: Available to residents of New Jersey
