My Approach to Helping
Hello there! I applaud you for taking this step, seeking help, and being open to working together to accomplish your goals. My name is Misty and I absolutely LOVE what I do! I graduated from the University of Southern CA with my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Military & Mental Health in 2013; became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2016.
I enjoy working with people who have experienced life, in it’s fullest, but sometimes need a little extra help. I see my clients as the experts in their own journey to resolve what life throws at us; I’m here to truly listen and gently guide. I have experience working with issues like trauma & abuse, depression & anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, personality disorders, familyparenting conflicts, intimacy issues, andor grief & loss, MilitaryVeteran issues, & many more mental health issues. I am completely open to understanding what you need and really look forward to working with you on a solution; you are not alone in this process.
My approach is from a Humanistic theoretical standpoint. Your personal worth, your value, and ability to overcome hardship, pain, and crisis in your life, is the center and most important aspect of my work. As a therapist, I am there to help you find that value, creativity, and your ability to overcome issues in your life with guidance that works for you. I truly look forward to working with you.
