My Approach to Helping
Do you feel stressed, anxious, wrung out, overwhelmed, or just empty? Maybe you feel crushed by those who rely on you or as though you’ll never have that experience to care for children in your own life. These experiences can be emotionally draining and it’s easy to feel exhausted or numb. I get it. In my experience, I found that it was hard to find anyone to relate. As a clinician using a variety of treatment modalities, I will work with you to identify the best way to address your needs!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with individuals using a variety of treatment modalities to reach their goals and thrive. Treatment must be individualized and the chosen treatment modality must be specific to your needs and your goals. I am highly skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Psychoanalysis. I have a certificate in Perinatal Mood Disorders from Postpartum Support International and extensive experience working with those struggling with infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum needs. I am OutCare certified as culturally competent in the care of the LGBTQ+ community. I am also a Certified School Social Worker and have a Certificate in Applied Educational Neuroscience from Butler University. Through these certifications, I have presented professionally and worked individually with educators to address their mental health needs as well as the needs of their students.
