My Approach to Helping
Do you want to create a future that looks different than your past? If the answer is yes, I can help you get there. Taking the first step toward change can feel scary, but I will be there to help and support you on this jouney that can lead to real and lasting change. In Psychotherapy we will work together to identify the obstacles that are making you feel stuck, and learn the new skills that will get your life moving. You will see that new skills will facilitate new ways of behaving, and the old daunting obstacles that made you feel discouraged or even anxious and depressed, will now feel like they can be tackled and solved. That's why I love helping people do this work, because I have seen how empowered they feel when the struggling stops and change occurs. Imagine how different life would look if you could see the possibilities instead of the obstacles.
I can work with you individually or with your partner and help you identify a clear strategy that will let you breakthrough whatever is holding you back. I have a large tool bag that includes techniques that will help you improve your relationships, work through past trauma, recover from depression, or manage anxiety.
I am a highly qualified licensed Psychotherapist with 18 years of experience, and my passion for my work only intensifies the more that I do it. My training runs the gamut from intensive training as a Psychoanalyst to Couples and Family Therapy, to working with Yoga and Meditation. I am committed to using every tool in my bag to help you achieve your goals. Your situation is unique and deserves a customized approach.
Here's how we get started. You can contact me by calling my office or emailing me. I invite you to visit my website and view my video where I teach a brief breathing technique that helps to reduce anxiety as well as the negative thinking that can bring your mood down. I offer short articles I've written about anxiety, depression and relationship issues. And for those of you who are interested in Yoga, I write a weekly 'Yoga Intention' (that comes from the classes I teach) that you might enjoy.
