My Approach to Helping

I specialize in helping those who have experienced from their past that seem to still control their lives today. If something has happened in your life, whether it be an assault, an accident, abuse, a loss, an injury or something else tragic, it can make lasting effects on the way you think and feel. Please know that this does not have to be a permanent way of life and that it is possible to feel better. If you'd like to finally feel relief from your past then you're in the right place. I can provide you with tools to deal with emotions at the moment as well as help you heal from painful memories permanently.

We will create a life that doesn't feel so heavy, painful, or stressful. Let's let the past stay in the past without it invading your mind and impacting your life. In my judgment-free-zone, together, we can utilize a productive method called EMDR that can lighten or even rid the effects of experiences you've had.

If you are ready or are thinking about being ready, then you've already taken a step toward creating the "next chapter" of your life and I'd love to be a part of your team for the journey. Feel free to explore my website to see if we'd be a good fit to work together and to book online.

"The first step toward getting somewhere is deciding that you are not going to stay where you are."

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Committing to your first session can be daunting, it's okay to feel unsure. If you're hesitant to 'go there' and think about things from your past that are difficult to think about then please do not let that be what stops you. This process is different than your typical talk therapy and my primary goal is to keep you safe throughout the entire process. We can do this. Additionally, EMDR does not require you to share all of the details of what you'd like to work on if you choose not to.

Although it may sound a bit cheesy, therapy is truly an investment in your future. There are many ways to work through challenges in your life, however, if you reach a point where you are no longer improving then it may be time to reach out to someone who has years of experience helping others heal from similar issues. If you think you will regret more time passing without feeling better then now may be a good time to get started. I have worked with people who have experienced traumas that have ruled their world for many years and within a few sessions have felt free of that emotional pain, it's difficult to put a price on what value that can add to a life.

If you'd like to, you may call and schedule a 15-20min consult to meet with me and determine if we'll be a good fit to work together or not. We can discuss what it is that you would like to work on, you can get to know me and I can get to know you. If we determine that we are not a good match, I would be glad to refer you to a therapist who may be a better fit of your needs.
