My Approach to Helping

I take the stance that you are the expert on your life. I can only look to try to understand your experience as much as possible. I am a very client centered therapist and able to adapt to your needs. I am all about meeting you where you are at! That could be on cloud 9 (hey! everyone needs therapy!), or at your lowest point in the darkness. I will be there with you. I have much of my experience in working with adults and teenagers. I have specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couple's Therapy, and PrepareEnrich Couple's Counseling.

I hear and see you. I believe that mental health should be considered a critical part of one’s overall health and well- being. If someone is suffering mentally, their issues should never be overlooked or minimalized. I am dedicated to ensuring that I create a positive impact on my client's lives.

I believe in people using creative methods to express themselves and finding passions that benefit their mental health. I do not believe in judging others, as I have an open mind and love to get to know the "real" side of people. We will laugh, we will cry, and we will work on your life goals to get closer to true happiness!

More Info About My Practice

Our therapists value creating a space where you can start the journey of aligning with your true authentic self. The team understands that a person cannot prioritize their true values when struggling with inner peace.

Our dream is to elevate, to offer support, to motivate, and to strategize solutions with you. We will work to forge new paths that enable you to attain all of your goals in life and to celebrate authenticity.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love most about being a therapist is seeing someone make progress in treatment and really be able to live their life. It sounds cliche, but it is every therapist's dream to see their client do well and come back months, years, decades later and hear that your help really changed someone's life for the better. When I can earn someone's trust and have them be vulnerable with me, it is the most beautiful moment. I truly am honored to work with my clients.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to the passenger alongside you in the car of your life. YOU are in control of you, however, I can bring some maps to get us there the best way possible. We are a team and will work together to do the hard work to help you heal.

My Therapy Focus

I come from a Greek background and am passionate about the ancient Greek concept of Sophrosyne, which focuses on improving one?s character and maintaining an upbeat sound of mind. The idea is to lead a well-balanced life and gain a sense of control rather than feeling like your life is spiraling and you don?t have access to the brakes or steering wheel. So that is my approach toward helping others achieve their goals and create new pathways in life to better themselves. We all need to take time for ourselves and connect with a sense of inner peace.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Completely understandable! It can be scary to start! Call for a free consultation and see how you feel. We can navigate from there!

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

I think the most important factor of finding a therapist is finding someone you feel safe with. Therapy will be uncomfortable at times, as well as potentially triggering, BUT navigating that with a therapist you have a good relationship with can help you learn those skills. It takes safety to be vulnerable enough to do the hard work.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I am a therapist due to my own struggles. I went through many difficult times growing up and felt alone. I always had this dream of becoming this great therapist that helps all the healing children who need someone. While my life path lead me a little differently with the population, the idea of healing someone is the same. I have struggled myself with mental health diagnosis and am able to relate understand those that suffer.
