My Approach to Helping

My approach to working with people is based on exploring the deep unconscious patterns that rule our lives. I believe we are all called to live authentically, we try to make sense of the chaos, traumas and experiences which have shaped our lives. Through the lens of archetypal pattern analysis, we can come to an awareness of how and why we are driven to behave in certain ways. While we cannot change our past story or history, we can change the way we react to that past and develop new, healthier and more joyful ways of being in the world.
My orientation to this work is based on my experience as a minister doing pastoral counseling, my work as a hospital chaplain, teaching at Gonzaga University and my current studies at the Assisi Institute to become a Certified Archetypal Pattern Analyst. I integrate my experiences with a sincere love of the work that I am called to do.

More Info About My Practice

As a minister in a large congregation, I have had the honor and privilege of counseling many people in times of trauma and transitions: birth, death and all the little deaths that occur in between. I believe that all souls long for wholeness and that my work in the world is to accompany you in your journey toward authenticity. I have years of experience working with the GLBTQ community, both as a counselor and an advocate.
