I practice a mix of contemplative psychotherapy which uses the Buddhist concepts of compassion, acceptance, and mindfulness and cognitive psychotherapy which teaches us to identify distorted thinking and correct the unhelpful tapes which play in our heads. I have been working in the social work and counseling field for 8 years. I specialize in counseling adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, having difficulty adjusting to transitions, dealing with grief, and issues of finding meaning in one's life. I am available to work with women or families who are making the transition from pregnancy to new parenthood and women who are dealing with post-partum issues.
