I think people deserve treatment that works and relieves suffering. I believe in results therefore, I use researched based treatment to help women (age 15+) with histories of trauma and/or abuse. In most cases I use Prolonged Exposure Therapy a research based treatment that has shown 70% or more improvement in symptoms for more than 85% of the people that participate in the treatment. It is the only treatment to date (2/09) that has consistently shown significant results in reducing or eliminating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms.

Many of the women that see me have a history of abuse or trauma. Often they experienced sexual, emotional or physical abuse as a child or young adult. Some have been in abusive relationships. Almost all are struggling to manage getting through each day without falling apart. These women typically have families, spouses or partners. Most are working, many in the health professions trying to help others while being unable to help themselves. They are tired of continuing to survive without being able to really live their lives.
