Description

To enhance your understanding of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) so you can apply it to the problems of daily living you face, or ways to share its practical ideas with loved ones, family, friends, or clients. Each group member will be allotted 30 minutes to discuss REBT's ideas and strategies. You will improve your understanding of REBT through your own questions and those of other group members. This is a REBT group for those serious about developing an accurate understanding of this powerful system of ideas.

Eligible participants: Open to all 18 years of age or older.

Exclusions: You are not eligible to participate if you have suicidal or homicidal thoughts or are experiencing a mental disorder. If, during the course of these group meetings, Dr. Matweychuk determines your problems of daily living suggest the presence of a possible diagnosable disorder, he will privately recommend that you consider individual psychotherapy, evaluation for psychiatric medication, or other appropriate medical care. This is not designed to be group therapy, although the educational discussions on the problems of daily living may have a therapeutic impact. Each group member will receive an AI-generated summary of their 30 minutes of questions and discussion with Dr. Matweychuk for future reference.
