My Approach to Helping
I believe that change and healing take place in the context of relationships with other people, and I would consider it a privilege to cultivate a therapeutic relationship with you as you take steps towards living into your values and potential. I draw upon several theories of psychotherapy, including CBT, ACT, and person-centered therapy.
More Info About My Practice
What would it look for you to live a life that more closely aligns with your values and potential? Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck as we repeat the same self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. We try to cope with the stresses of life, but our coping mechanisms just don't seem to work anymore. Let's face it: life can be really hard at times. But with the help of others, we can take steps towards becoming the people we were created to be. I would love to help you take steps towards meaningful and lasting change.
I work with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues, but I especially find myself helping people make changes surrounding things like depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. As a clinician who also has an educational background in theological studies, I gladly integrate faith and spirituality into sessions when desired by clients.
