When we listen actively and provide empathic responses, we are able to not only understand our clients better but also be able to communicate to them that we hear them and are on their side in finding solutions to their concerns. I focus on using these skills to achieve the best possible results with clients.

With a first degree in adult education and following up with a master's degree in social work, I have had the opportunity to learn about human behaviors as they relate to our thoughts and feelings, and inadvertently our lives. I like to describe a therapy session as a situation where I, the therapist, am a copilot to my client, who is the pilot/captain and takes on leadership in the course of our journey. As a copilot, I have the maps and directions. I am here to support my clients in making the best decisions and walking the path to achieving their goals.
