My Approach to Helping
If you're reading this, it's likely you're feeling a whirlwind of emotions. Perhaps you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, maybe even lost. Maybe you're battling with self-identity, struggling with substance use, or grappling with past trauma. I understand that these feelings can be daunting, and I want you to know that you are not alone.
I'm Michele Green, and I am here for you.
My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep passion for helping others navigate through their unique challenges. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, but rather a personal journey that we embark on together, tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Our journey will begin by creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and accepted. From there, we'll use a blend of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Integrative therapy, among others. I value a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and believe in harnessing the power of your inherent resilience.
We'll also explore Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapies to delve deeper into understanding how past experiences may be impacting your current state of being. My approach is also culturally sensitive, and I strive to understand and respect the unique background each client brings into our sessions.
I have experience working with individuals across various identities and life stages, including families, teens, adults, and the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to providing a supportive and affirming environment for all, including those in open or non-monogamous relationships, sex workers, and those involved in the kink community.
Working through trauma and emotional challenges can be difficult, but I believe in your strength and ability to overcome them. Through our therapeutic relationship, I hope to empower you to reclaim control of your life and find the coping skills to navigate future challenges.
