My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals, couples, and families – children, adults, and adolescents. I specialize in helping people become more psychologically flexible, which means helping to find ways to cope with change, handle tough situations, and improve our mental health. I do this based on a compassionate approach, while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices. I have training in a wide-variety of techniques to include; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
This life that we live is hard, and sometimes we just need someone to talk to about what we are going through, or have gone through. Or, sometimes we just need to help build those mental skills as we reach for new and exciting things. We also may just need to “let it out” or to “unpack” while going through a particularly tough time. Either way, I hope to be a compassionate and understanding part of your journey, and if I am not the best fit for you I will help you find the best fit. If you feel that anything about my profile resonates with you, please contact me to set up a free 20 minute consultation. Feel free to visit my website as well.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
I believe therapy can help in many ways and can be beneficial for everyone who is willing to try it. We may need additional support in our lives that will be non-judgmental, unbiased, and completely accepting of our true selves. I believe that my role as a therapist is this additional support. The great thing about therapy is that you can try it out, and if it doesn't work for you that you can go in a different direction. There are many therapists and different ways of helping, and sometimes finding that right person can make all the difference. I believe that if you are here right now reading this, there is a part of you that is seeking out and wanting help. I hope to provide the help you are looking for, and if not I would be happy to help you find the person you are looking for. Please contact me to start a conversation and we can move forward from there.
My Therapy Focus
The way I approach therapy is simple - I work for you and with you. Together we will develop treatment goals and plans. Together we will find the best type of therapy that works for you. I do not specialize in any one type of therapy, but rather, I specialize in pulling from different types of therapy methods to suite each individual person. I think we are all too unique to have a one-size-fits-all approach.
