My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling alone, misunderstood, down in the dumps, or anxious? Are you struggling with addiction to alcohol, drugs, or self-defeating behaviors? Perhaps you have suffered traumatic events or are experiencing memories that cause you distress. Or do you find yourself searching for meaning in life while trying to understand who you are and where you belong? Ultimately, you long to be happy and healthy, understood and accepted, and ready to make a change. It isn’t easy seeking help, but it isn’t any easier handling your daily struggles alone.
Therapy is all about you and the meaningful life you want to create. I work to provide a safe space by developing a compassionate and trustworthy partnership with my clients. I can help teens and adults cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, unhealthy relationships, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions.
I am also passionate about helping LGBTQ individuals. For queer people, having someone who can understand and relate to their experiences is perhaps the most important factor in choosing a therapist. I listen with empathy, offer insight without judgment for all my clients, and help figure out what is holding you back and how to overcome it.
