What's My Approach to Therapy?
Dealing with overwhelming emotions and stress can often be an isolating experience, but it does not have to be. My goal as a clinician is to create a safe setting for healing through compassion, understanding, and trust. Our work together will focus on gaining a stronger understanding of yourself while obtaining skills and techniques to forge meaning through difficult moments in life. I believe that high-quality therapy comes from a customized approach by taking evidence-based methodologies and tailoring them to an individual’s personality and needs.
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with a variety of symptoms from depression and anxiety to trauma. My approach aims to build a sense of mastery to overcome difficult patterns by understanding what is at the core of emotional experiences. Additionally, we will work on identifying and addressing unhelpful coping mechanisms.
It's difficult to make progress in deep aloneness, and my experience has taught me that positive change comes from the therapeutic relationship that we build together.
