My Approach to Helping

Are you the parent of a struggling teen who has decided to give therapy a try? What about a young adult who has tried therapy but has been unable to find the right fit?The decision to attend therapy is a lot like the first step on a staircase. You have no idea what’s coming after the first few steps or in this case, sessions. You may wonder: Will this actually help? How long will I have to do this? Will this therapist understand me? You're here and have overcome one of therapy's biggest challenges: getting started.

I work predominantly with children, teens, and young adults and view the therapeutic process as a collaboration between client and therapist. Expect to feel empowered during our sessions as you know yourself and your life best. My goal is to listen, empathize, and strategize with my clients and I do so utilizing creative techniques and a relaxed and inviting personality. You are in the driver's seat and I'm a passenger assisting you with navigating the roads of life.

Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, self-harm, stress, or identity issues, you deserve a therapist that will listen to your story and make you an active participant in the therapy process. Allow me to offer support and help you build effective coping techniques as you aim to be your best self. Schedule a consult to see if I'm a good fit for you.
