My Approach to Therapy

Hi! I'm Al, and I am a Psychotherapist and Clinical Counsellor practising in Calgary, Alberta. I have over 20 years of mental health, addictions, crisis and outreach work in a variety of counselling settings. I share my time between my family, my private practice and various volunteer positions in and around the Calgary area. I have worked successfully with youth, adults, and seniors; individually, in partnerships, and as family units to address and resolve a wide variety of issues. I am grounded in a firm belief that you are the expert in your own life. My aim is to help you connect with your own intuition and highest wisdom in order to bring about healing and empowerment. I am deeply rooted in a profound respect for the beauty, uniqueness and dimension of humanity. Grounded in Narrative Therapy, I practice an integrative approach in counselling which is both client-centred and directive, drawing on a wide range of therapies with the goal of meeting the unique needs of each client. Help is here.
