My Approach to Helping
Perhaps you're feeling stuck, like the next step of your life's path is beyond your reach, unclear or blocked--or maybe you don't even know if you're on the right one! You may be struggling to find your place and unique rhythm in this world. Are you looking for a safe and supportive place for your voice to be heard and be empowered to become who you truly are and want to be? Maybe you're having or have had difficult life experiences that are hard to talk about or express.
Experiencing your own creativity can be a powerful experience on your path to growth, healing and understanding. In addition to more traditional "talk" therapy, use of the creative arts can help give shape and form to experiences and emotions that are vague, troubling or not expressible in other ways. The therapeutic relationship and creative process can also help you come to understand why you may be struggling in your relationships with family and friends, help you when you are feeling stressed, anxious, burnt-out and life seems to be overwhelming, as well as help you come to a fuller awareness of yourself and your world.
It is my belief that each individual is absolutely unique, therefore my approach to therapy is partly based upon getting to know you--your strengths, your needs, your goals and how your life experiences have shaped your view of yourself and the world.

I am committed to quality, non-pathologizing psychotherapy and deeply believe that healthy individuals help create healthy communities. It is in this spirit that I make my services as affordable as I am able. I offer a free in-person consultation and use a sliding-scale fee for my services. I am willing to work with you and your financial situation to ensure that you get the support and care you need.
I am now offering a series of workshops called "Self-Care Through Art" These workshops are designed to offer some basic skills in various mediums as well as encourage growth, reflection and self-exploration. Please visit my website for more detailed information (the groups/workshops page).
I am also a trained SoulCollage® Facilitator. SoulCollage® is an intuitive collage process that works well for healing, personal growth and well-being. It is a great self-care method, a tool for exporation, a gentle way to do deep psyche work and it has the bonus of being fun! For more information about SoulCollage® please feel free to contact me. In the upcoming months I will be offering low-cost introductory SoulCollage® Workshops.
