My Approach to Helping
I feel very optimistic that people have the ability to make positive changes in their lives and can create lives that are meaningful. Within a therapeutic relationship of trust and connection, I help people understand how perceptions can keep us feeling stuck. Through support, understanding, and clarity, clients become motivated and able to master the different and difficult challenges life can present. Therapy provides a supportive environment where clients are empowered to discover and access their very best, develop insights that make change possible, and find ways to create fulfilling lives. I have beein in practice for over 20 years, holding staff positions at McLean Hospital and appointments at Harvard Medical School. I have advanced training in hypnotherapy, helping people cope with pain, headaches, bruxism and clenching, sleep disturbance, anxiety, break unwanted habits, and other challenges. I have specialties as well in individual psychotherapy, geriatric psychiatry, marriage and couples therapy and have run groups for parents of children with special needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
