Addiction is rarely the only issue facing our clients and is often just a symptom related to underlying issues related to depression and/or bipolar disorder. A person who has a dual diagnosis has two separate illnesses, and each illness needs its own treatment plan.
Dual diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation at Ventura Recovery Center involves consideration of both the addictive disorder and underlying mental health disorder to guide the client fully through the recovery process. A combination of substance abuse (drug and/or alcohol dependence) and a mental illness such as (depression, anxiety disorder, etc.) qualifies the person as a dual diagnosis client. Dual diagnosis is not rare, in fact it is common for an individual to struggle with both addiction and a mental disorder.
We are qualified to perform addiction treatment services for those who suffer with dual diagnosis by offering intensive therapy programs such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and one-on-one therapy sessions. We treat the whole person with an individualized treatment plan for each client.
Inpatient drug rehab has many benefits over other methods. First of all, the client is able to distance themselves from the stresses and triggers of the home environment. Our addiction treatment takes place in a residential setting, in a house located in a great and safe neighborhood with private and semi private rooms.
Meals are prepared daily by our chef and menus are adjusted to your personal and medical needs. Staff counselors are available daily for emotional support. Our nursing staff is available 24/7. Also, our mentoring program provides social support and guidance as you develop problem-solving skills and learn to make positive choices.
Intensive Outpatient Care (IOP)
Independent sober living (w/ Residential manager) Here we help you focus on personal growth and responsibility. Daily group therapy and life skills classes are offered. We also help you find a mentor, someone who is sober and can help you as you learn to face life in sobriety.
