About Our Center
Braveminds Academy is a specialized residential mental health program designed exclusively for adolescent boys ages 11–17. Located in Largo, Florida, we serve families throughout Tampa Bay, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and surrounding areas seeking structured, clinically driven care for their sons.
Our program focuses on helping teens struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and family conflict. We provide a safe, supportive, and highly structured residential environment where adolescents can stabilize, build coping skills, and develop long-term emotional resilience.
Treatment at Braveminds Academy is rooted in evidence-based clinical approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), and family systems therapy. Each resident receives an individualized treatment plan that includes individual therapy, group therapy, and family involvement to support lasting change both during and after treatment.
Our team of licensed professionals provides consistent clinical oversight, ensuring that each adolescent receives personalized attention and care. We emphasize accountability, emotional growth, and skill-building to help teens improve behavior, strengthen relationships, and regain confidence.
At Braveminds Academy, we understand how challenging it can be for families to navigate mental health struggles. Our mission is to provide a structured path forward, helping adolescent boys develop the tools they need to succeed at home, in school, and in life.
