What's My Approach to Therapy?

I see therapy as a space where you can slow down and feel fully seen. My style is warm, relational, and straightforward; I want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self, without judgment or pressure. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and narrative therapy, weaving them together in a way that fits your unique needs and story.

Whether you’re navigating a life transition, carrying cultural or relational stress, or working on strengthening your relationships, I aim to offer steady support, practical tools, and a grounded space to make sense of what you’re going through. Together, we’ll focus on helping you feel more rooted, understood, and able to move forward in ways that feel true to you.

My Practice & Services

Sohail Counseling & Care is a growing group practice built on the belief that therapy should feel steady, supportive, and culturally aware. I started this practice with the vision of creating a space where both clients and clinicians feel cared for, and I’m excited to now have three wonderful therapists joining me so we can serve even more people.

We currently offer individual therapy for emerging and modern adults, premarital and couples therapy, and relational support around identity, culture, and life transitions. Each therapist on our team brings their own warmth and expertise, but we all share the same values: creating a safe place to be real, approaching care with curiosity and compassion, and helping clients find ways forward that feel true to them.

In addition to individual and couples work, our practice is expanding to include workshops, groups, and resources designed to support clients outside of the therapy room. We believe in whole-person care, and we’re here to walk alongside you with grounded support, whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or continuing a journey you’ve already started.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It's completely normal to feel unsure about starting therapy. You might be wondering if your struggles are big enough to bring in, or if talking to someone will really help. The truth is; therapy isn't about having a crisis or fitting into a box. It's about having a space that's just for you, where you don't have to carry things alone.

If you're on the fence, consider this your permission to give it a try. You don't have to commit to forever; sometimes even a few sessions can give you clarity, tools, and a little more breathing room in your life. And if you're still uncertain, consultations are always welcome; whether it's to share what's on your mind or just your hesitations. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions, talk through your uncertainty, and see if this feels like the right fit.

Groups I Work With

I love working with emerging adults who are figuring out who they are and what they want their lives to look like, as well as modern adults balancing relationships, family, and career pressures. I also work closely with couples in the early or premarital stages who want to build a stronger foundation together.

Because of my own background and training, I have a special focus on supporting BIPOC clients and those navigating cultural identity, generational stress, or the impact of systemic trauma. I also enjoy working with clients who are exploring their inner child, healing attachment wounds, or untangling relational patterns that no longer serve them.

Overall, I work with people who are ready to show up as they are, even if they feel a little messy or unsure, and who want a safe, steady place to sort through life’s challenges and move toward feeling more grounded and at home in themselves.
