What's My Approach to Therapy?

You're intelligent enough to make it look easy, but inside your mind is a hurricane, your emotions are a wildfire, and you're exhausted from trying to outrun both.

At work, you're the reliable one—you execute, you deliver, you keep it together—but beneath the surface, you're fracturing. Your mind careens through a hundred open tabs, obsessing over that meeting where you stumbled, catastrophizing about the email languishing in your drafts, and losing yourself in a project until 2 AM because your brain won't release you. Then fury detonates—at your boss, at the relentless grind devouring your life, and at yourself for not being able to just function like everyone else.

With friends, you're the compassionate one, the anchor—but you're haunted by the terror they secretly think you're too much. You overanalyze every text, every conversation, tormented by whether you said something cringe-worthy. You flake on plans because you're running on fumes, then the guilt crushes you: "I'm wrecking this myself."

You're clinging to control by your fingernails, and you're about to crash out.

You've tried therapy before—maybe it helped for a bit, like a band-aid. But 50 minutes a week isn't enough when you're spending the other six days trying to hold it together on your own. Traditional once-a-week therapy wasn't built for minds like yours—it's not enough support, and you know it.

You need a program built for chaotic minds and volatile emotions—one that gives you the right amount of therapy to actually feel rooted. A clear path from hurricane minds and wildfire emotions to solid ground, with a guide who's charted the way.

Schedule a consultation, and let's talk about the path forward.

My Practice & Services

Howdy, I'm Tim – LCSW, nature-loving poet, INFJ, and recovering people pleaser. Most importantly, I'm a frustrated dreamer who knows how hard it is to wrangle chaotic minds, volatile emotions, and create a life that feels rooted, grounded, and genuinely yours.

I worked all over the mental health system and noticed something: traditional once-a-week therapy often isn't enough for people whose minds race and emotions swing. You show up for your 50-minute session, make some progress, then spend the next six days trying to hold it together on your own. For neurodivergent people, people pleasers, and perfectionists especially, that gap between sessions can feel impossible to navigate. You need more support than an hour a week, but you're not in crisis—you just need the right amount of therapy to actually feel rooted.

Being the rooted dreamer I am, I set out to build this miracle dream into existence—a clear path to travel so my clients didn't have to "figure it out" while their minds raced and their emotions swung. In the process of making it for them, I knew I was making a space for you, too. I'm hoping you join me.

Here's what this journey holds: individual therapy gets us to the heart and core of the issue using internal family systems (IFS) to understand the Parts of you that are angry, anxious, and self-critical, and reconnect with the Parts that are creative, adventurous, and whole. In the Writing Wisdom groups, we set out to bear witness to your hidden desires and needs, and bravely share them with others for the first time. For Soulful Stargazing retreats, we take time to admire the wonder you hold, and the world that surrounds you.

The path towards your miracle now has a guide who has charted the way. I have the compass and map, and want to take you there. Sign up for a consultation so we can talk about what it is you long for, and how this space can get you there..

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I get it?you're on the fence. Part of you knows you need something to change, but another part is hesitating. Maybe it's the fear that therapy will be another thing you have to "perform" at. Maybe it's wondering if you're "bad enough" to deserve help. Or maybe it's just exhausting to imagine adding one more thing to your plate when you're already barely holding it together.

Here's what I want you to know: being on the fence doesn't mean you're not ready. It means you're standing in that liminal space?between the life you've been living and the life you want. And that's exactly where this work begins.

You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't have to be "at your worst" to deserve support. You just have to be tired of white-knuckling your way through every day and curious about what it might feel like to actually be rooted.

The consultation is just a conversation?no pressure, no commitment. We'll talk about what's going on, what you're longing for, and whether this space feels like the right fit. If it doesn't, that's okay too. But if you're on the fence, that's usually your system telling you it's worth exploring.

What do you say?want to hop on a call and see what this could look like for you?
