My Approach to Helping
I see life as a journey of beauty and tragedy, ups and downs, mountains and valleys. If you are currently experiencing a disaster, a down, or a valley in your life, therapy is a helpful tool to help you endure, grow, and make space for yourself and your thoughts and feelings. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have experience working with adults living with or experiencing the following: depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, job stress, and life transitions.
I use an eclectic approach, working with the individual from a strengths-based perspective and employing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore the thoughts and emotions behind the problem, mindfulness-based approaches as well as other coping skills to help the individual cope and adjust, and generally assisting the individual in empowering themselves to work through challenging periods in their lives. I provide a safe space for you to share your experiences where there is no judgment or bias and only compassion and empathy.
