What's My Approach to Therapy?
Feeling overwhelmed? Anxious? Depressed? Like you've never quite fit in? Find yourself feeling stuck in a cycle? Perhaps a part of you knows that you are totally capable and yet have days where you just can't - that leaves you feeling defeated. Perhaps feeling hopeless, worthless, or just on edge all the time? I know how hard it is to try and still struggle. As a neurodivergent queer therapist and a survivor, I get it, and I want you to know, there is still hope. You're not alone, there are people who care and want to help. It would be an honor to explore how I could help you compassionately get unstuck and heal those tender spots.
I am compassionately direct in my communication style, creative, and deeply care about inclusion. My niche is within attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach is integrative in nature, depending on the client's needs. Theories I often use are person-centered, mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic, strength-based, creative arts, and inner child work. I have a social justice-sex-positive-Health At Every Size (HAES)-feminist lens.
