My Approach to Helping
When our lives become difficult, it can cause us to feel disconnected from those around us and our sense of being. We can feel alone and without power over our lives. When this happens, finding connection can be scary, but also as simple as reaching out. By working together, we can find the best way to overcome your personal circumstances and create a life that you can enjoy.
As a social worker, I look at the whole person as they are within their environment. I believe that it isn’t only what happens to us, but also what is going on around us, that influences how we see ourselves. For the last ten years, I have worked with all ages that have experienced different traumas including abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and more.
Our work together will help you to find your inner sense of peace and find a new sense of hope.
More Info About My Practice
I am a Clinical Social Worker who has been providing services to families and individuals since 2013. My background in social work and psychology has helped to expand on looking at the whole person, past and present, and the environment as well as the relationship between the two. I am trained in CBT, EMDR, DBT, and ACT as well as other therapeutic approaches. My focus is to find a tailored approach that works for the individual. Through an integrated framework, we can work together to isolate the issues that are preventing you from fully experiencing life and structuring an approach that works towards your specific needs. Validation and compassion are a primary focus in my treatment approach with prioritizing our relationship and work together. Our goals will be defined together and we will work to find skills and techniques that not only work for the identified issues, but can be translated into other areas of your life, giving you freedom and agency.
