My Approach to Helping

As owner of A Brand New Start Counseling, I believe in the title and that a brand new start is exactly that. During our lives we are presented with many opportunities to start anew, whether those opportunities come from deliberate personal choice or a combination of life events that just happen. It is my goal to meet you where you are in your life and assist you as you begin your new start to developing a healthier, more empowered you.

I am a well seasoned counselor who has been in the business of working alongside individuals, couples, families and children for eighteen years as we together search for new answers to life\'s abundant challenges. Whether it is depression, relationship issues, stress management, or more, I am confident that we can find the solutions that best work for you.

I believe strongly that each of us carries our own answers within ourselves, but sometimes it just takes a little help to unlock those answers. While the counseling process can be painful, it can also be something like opening a treasure chest discovering your own inner strengths that will benefit you as you begin again in your life.

More Info About My Practice

I tend to view the counseling process as something like opening a treasure chest filled with tidbits that we learn about ourselves to become stronger and navigate our way through our lives better. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for fourteen years now and have been in the mental health field for over eighteen years. In that time, I have worked with a myriad of issues from depression to couples issues to end-of-life issues and much more. I have worked in both mental health agencies and in private practice. My passion is for helping people. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the key elements in great therapy and the better I get to know you and you me, the more effective I can be in helping you to uncover your own answers. So please reach out and take this journey with me, and together we will work in your best interest to help you to achieve the goals you have set for yourself as you begin your own brand new start.
