What's My Approach to Therapy?
At LBA Therapy, I believe that real change happens when you feel safe enough to be your full self—messy parts, worries, doubts, and all. My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration. I’m not here to sit silently while you talk; I’m here to be an active partner in your growth. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck—whether it’s people-pleasing, overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or feeling like you can never do enough. These patterns often develop as a way to cope, but over time, they can leave you feeling disconnected from your true self.
In our work, we’ll slow down and listen to what your mind and body are trying to tell you. I draw from evidence-based approaches while always tailoring sessions to your unique needs and life story. Sometimes that means practical tools for managing anxiety or burnout in the moment.
At other times, it means digging deeper into past experiences and relationships that have shaped how you show up today. Through this process, you’ll begin to see yourself with more clarity and kindness, and with that comes the freedom to choose differently.
I also bring my own lived experience as a mom, and a human, who knows how easy it is to lose sight of your own needs when life demands so much from you. That’s why I’m passionate about helping clients learn to set boundaries, reconnect with their values, and create space for what matters most. You don’t have to go through this alone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you start. Therapy is a place to pause, reflect, and gather the strength you need for whatever comes next.
You’re not broken, behind, or “too much.” You’re exactly where you need to be to begin reclaiming your sense of self and stepping into the next chapter of your life—with more confidence, balance, and compassion for yourself.
