My Approach to Helping
If you’ve landed here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, untethered, or unsure of how to move forward, but something in you knows it’s time for change. Maybe you’ve been the one holding everything together for too long. Maybe you’re grieving, questioning your identity, or trying to reconnect with a part of yourself that got buried along the way. I want you to know: you don’t have to figure this out alone.
I’m Laura Hoge, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma-informed therapist, and long-time advocate for healing that honours the whole of who you are. My approach is somatic, relational, and deeply compassionate. I work at the pace of your nervous system, paying close attention to what your body, emotions, and inner knowing are trying to tell you. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been hard to name, what’s been too heavy to carry alone, and what might be ready to shift.
Clients often tell me that I bring a calm, grounded presence to our work. I hold space with warmth and spaciousness, and I bring humour, cultural awareness, and over twenty years of experience to every session. I welcome you as you are—complex, whole, and worthy of care.
Whether you’re navigating transitions, burnout, marginalization, or a longing for deeper self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about coming home to yourself, one breath at a time.
