My Approach to Helping

Greater ease, clarity and fulfillment are possible. To move out of pain, discomfort and stuckness you will have to listen deeply to yourself to come to a place of self-understanding. Moving out of discomfort often first requires listening to it and being with it. You will come to know yourself more fully and see yourself and your life through more compassionate understanding. It would be my privilege to assist you with this process.

Good therapy is not just "talk therapy", but a deep intuitive process which you as a client should feel and not have the question of whether or not it is working after several months.

As a therapist, I am direct and engaging but also quite warm and sensitive. Initial consultations are always welcome so you can get a sense of who I am and of how we would work together. Please feel free to contact me to set up an appointment or with any questions you may have.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Therapy offers a unique environment where you can bring all of who you are: your hopes, fears, anger, frustrations, confusion, grief, joy, shame...
Within the safety of the therapeutic environment, we listen deeply to what may be causing discomfort and stuckness and work with it so you can move forward with your life with more vitality and fulfillment. I believe strongly that we all have the potential to live fulfilling lives and have positive relationships. During the past nineteen years, I have been honored to witness over and over again clients moving from pain and discomfort into greater authenticity, intimacy and vitality.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

As a Psychotherapist, I have the privilege of listening deeply to people and coming to know and understand the deepest parts of who they are. When people interact with the world they show little of their real selves. I understand why we all tend to hide parts of ourselves from each other, but when we hide we are hiding our essence from one another. In the therapy room, I witness the full range of who people are and am so moved by how beautiful people are when they reveal their true selves.

Working as a Psychotherapist is my passion. Assisting people in their growth and working with them to move out of pain, stuckness and discomfort into greater vitality, purpose and authenticity is such an honor.
