My Approach to Helping
Have you been feeling overwhelmed, wondering if therapy could help? Have you ever wanted to know, "Why am I like this?" Often there are things in our past we are avoiding thinking about that are impacting our emotional well-being and relationships with other. Sometimes we need a "thought partner" to help us make difficult decisions. Many people, in seeking to fulfill the basic human needs of happiness and connections with others, find themselves engaging in ineffective or counterproductive behaviors. Therapy is a way to not only address these behaviors and associated feelings, but also learn more about their causes.
I support a strength-based solution-focused approach to therapy. My goal for each client is to provide a calm, non-judgmental space where together we can investigate the thoughts, feelings, and motivations that are leading you to feel stuck. Ultimately, therapy can lead to greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and a more fulfilling life.
