What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am an associate social worker with ten years of experience helping people in the mental health field. I have worked in non-profits, psychiatric hospitals, and in group practice. I work with adults of all ages who experience depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness, depending on what each individual client needs. I am compassionate and meet the client where they are at. I believe people are resilient and want to live happy meaningful lives. Sometimes we need a therapist, that one person we can say anything too and be heard and supported without judgement. This is the gift of therapy in my opinion. I adjust my approach according to what I feel each individual needs.
I offer a free 15 phone consultation for us to get to know each other and see if it may be a good fit to work together.
