My Approach to Helping

Relationships are the center of your life: at home, work, and friendships. When they are not going well, it creates a lot of tension. You aren't sure if you can trust your feelings, you don't want them to be so "big," or you just want to be understood. It is important to have an experienced person outside of the situation to help you gain perspective. I "get it." I will listen to you with empathy and curiosity and will provide honest feedback.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (11 years) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (3 years). It has been very rewarding to walk with clients as they learn how to be assertive, set healthy boundaries, and decrease negative thinking. You will be met with energy and authentic care to encourage you in your journey of healing.

You can expect to gain greater understanding of the source of your symptoms, insights into how your past has impacted your functioning, and strategies of how to improve your future. If you are ready to start making changes and feel empowered, reach out today! You can click on my website link to set up a profile and schedule an appointment on my calendar.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Finding a therapist can be like looking for a new pair of shoes. Not all shoes fit and it is okay to try as many pairs as you need until they fit just right. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with you or the therapist if it isn't a good fit. It is important to advocate for yourself in therapy and then make a change if things aren't going as well as you would like.
