What's My Approach to Therapy?

Welcome and congratulations on taking your first step toward a happier, healthier you! I am dedicated to addressing the most current issues facing adolescents and young adults today. Whether you or your child is stifled by obstacles of the past, struggling with current issues, or worried about the future, helping you cope with life's challenges is my main objective. I strive to provide adolescents and young adults with the highest level of professional counseling services in a nurturing environment. I offer a youthful approach to helping teens with a thorough understanding of teen culture and their unique generation today. Providing a place of non-judgment, helping you gain insight to achieve your goals, and teaching healthy coping skills are my priorities to you as a client.

My Practice & Services

I also offer equine-assisted psychotherapy helping individuals overcome shyness, self-doubt, and low self-esteem. Horses have a way of bringing out the best in people when they need it most. If you're interested in learning more, please watch the video.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Why should I work with you? Simply put because I will connect with you or your teenager. Working with a teenager is a lot like working with horses- you can't push them any faster or harder than they wanna go. I do my best to create an environment where my clients find hope, inspiration and a path to reaching their goals. I strive to provide them with life long tools to utilize even after therapy is discontinued. And should a need arise post termination, my clients are always welcome to return at any point.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I am honored to play a significant role in a young person's life when needed most. I take my role very seriously and make myself available throughout the week should a client want to check in. After all, life's issues don't always come up conveniently right before a therapy session. I would rather have my clients be able to reach out in between sessions so they can not only have the support they deserve but also have recommendations on how to cope effectively so they don't have to wait until the next session.
