What's My Approach to Therapy?
I work with adolescents, adults, and families to treat depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), poor self-esteem, family conflict, challenging behaviors, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), self-harm, school issues, cognitive distortions, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and more. I have 10 years of experience as a therapist in high-level psychiatric care for adolescents and their families. I have also discovered great joy and purpose in helping adults navigate common life stressors, parenthood, anxiety, depression, and countless other challenges we face in our day-to-day lives.
I graduated from Pacific University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, collaborative problem solving, and use elements of dialectical behavioral therapy as well.
I believe in a blameless, shame-free, collaborative environment where warmth, empathy, and humor are valued and encouraged. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a consultation, as I aim to ensure that our time together is as comfortable and helpful as possible. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you, your adolescent, or your family.
