What's My Approach to Therapy?
Do you struggle with anxiety, poor self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or other emotional issues? Do you sometimes find it difficult to articulate what the problem is, or feel that words are just not enough to express it? It might be that dramatherapy is right for you. Dramatherapy is a form of psychological therapy and psychotherapy, which makes use of a variety of creative-expressive techniques to help you explore your feelings. It is particularly helpful when you struggle to articulate what the problem is, or when words are just not enough to express it.
I am Dr. Marta Paglioni, a dramatherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth). I also hold a clinical PhD in the field of health and social sciences, and I am a senior lecturer for the University of Winchester, where I teach future nurses communication skills and therapeutic approaches, with a strong focus and passion for humanizing healthcare.
My practice is deeply humanistic and trauma-informed. Any judgment is suspended when you enter our therapy room. Compassion is at the core of my practice, and I offer dramatherapy as a safe space, a weekly ritual to help you reconnect to your true self and a meaningful life path through a wide range of creative and embodied techniques.
