My Approach to Helping
Have you ever felt you aren'tweren't really heard? Perhaps a spouse or boss or parent doesn't listen for what you're really saying, or just outright dismisses your words and feelings? In our sessions you will be heard. And I will keep my ears and eyes open, and my senses ready for indications of things you may have turned a blind eye, and I'll help you to explore these things. I'll listen to the adult you and the child you. Together we will discover behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes that cause difficulties in your life, and we’ll collaborate to replace them with behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes that that bring about and maintain happiness. Psychotherapy can help end depression, anxiety, and bothersome thoughts and behaviors, it can alleviate pain and help you to enjoy life more.

My clients come from diverse backgrounds, and they seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons. They are between age 18 and 65. I am most effective with clients seeking relief from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career workplace issues, stress, low confidence, low self-esteem, and others; any of these take enjoyment from life, and therapy can help resolve these issues. I am formally educated and trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, but psychodynamic psychotherapy is not right for every client, and drawing upon training in, and experience with, other approaches I can offer an approach that meets your needs. I’m confident you’ll find that I am a caring, empathic, and effective therapist. I work with clients age 18 and above.
