My Approach to Helping
I believe the therapeutic relationship can promote healing, and that therapy does not have to be an intimidating experience. I work with adults, adolescents and children, and have expertise in play therapy and family therapy. I am warm and genuine and will always respect where you are on your journey. I utilize an approach based on CBT and psychodynamic theories, but I like to tailor the treatment to the unique needs of my clients. I incorporate a zen-like frame of mind to life and it's problems, and strive to create a tranquil and safe space.

Office hours are Monday through Saturday, mostly through telehealth, with some options for in-person sessions. I am available between 10am and 6pm.

Studies seem to suggest that the therapeutic relationship is more important than a particular skill or theory that is used. I firmly believe this. Your inner voice will likely inform you as to whether or not a therapist can assist you. Listen to that voice, and always advocate for yourself. A good therapist believes their client is the best teacher, and a therapist should always offer unconditional positive regard. These ingredients are the keys to healing.
