My Approach to Helping
Hello! If this is your first time trying out therapy or you are looking to begin again, I look forward to getting to know you. Being human comes with all types of experiences and emotions, many of which impact our mental andor physical health. Therapy can be a helpful step in healing and finding support, and I hope to support you on this journey. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have worked in community mental health and hospitals for over 7 years, with particular work around chronic mental health challenges, anxiety, panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, adjustment challenges, and trauma.
I understand that each person comes with their own experience related to their mental health, and I work to utilize different approaches depending on the person’s need and style. I use an eclectic mix of cognitive therapies and strive to incorporate a person-centered and strengths-based lens. I value your experience and will work with you to set individualized goals, build coping skills and provide a non-judgmental space to explore life’s challenges.
