What's My Approach to Therapy?
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is to begin to dive deep into your childhood and connect those experiences with what you encounter in your daily life. Taking that first step can be terrifying, and my desire is to help guide you through changes to help you get where you want to be in your healing journey. Whether that is learning how to set and hold healthy boundaries, managing overwhelming anxiety, practicing mindfulness tools, or addressing deep wounds that come from trauma, I hope to support you to achieve greater freedom from what is holding you back now.
I take an eclectic approach, but lean heavily on modalities including: eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic-informed EMDR, and sandplay. My experience includes complex trauma PTSD (CPTSD, childhood developmental trauma), dissociative conditions, IFS parts ego-state work, family systems, betrayal trauma, high high-conflict divorcefamily court.
It is a privilege to assist clients in their journeys of healing through the work done in sessions and providing the therapeutic tools needed for daily living. I enjoy spending time with my family, collecting books, photography, a good podcast, gardening, my favorite Swig drinks, and my chickens.
