My Approach to Helping
With over 40 years of experience as a psychologist, I continue to be inspired by the courage people show as they face change, uncertainty, and growth. Whether you're moving through a major life transition, navigating illness, working through trauma, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, I provide a space that’s warm, thoughtful, and grounded in mutual respect.
My approach is reflective and collaborative. I value the opportunity to really get to know who you are—your life experiences, roles, relationships, and identity, and to explore how those shape your current challenges and hopes. While I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, relational, existential, and attachment-based models, I always tailor our work to fit your goals and needs. I also use specific tools from mindfulness, CBT, ACT, EMDR, and couples therapy models when they feel right for you.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, my sense of humor, and my ability to be both gentle and direct. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and identities. I believe therapy can be a meaningful space for reflection, clarity, healing, and learning, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that path.
