What's My Approach to Therapy?
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Do you or your teen struggle with emotional regulation, past trauma, or making unhealthy choices out of habit or impulsivity? I specialize in working with adults and youth ages 6 and up, helping them develop resilience, manage emotions, and create lasting change. I have been a therapist for 3 years and have worked 8 years in mental health. With experience in residential treatment and with court-ordered clients, I understand the complexities of addressing mental health concerns stemming from trauma and addiction that have created significant life consequences. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space.
My approaches: Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR): to process and heal the memories at the root of the pain or behavior. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): to help manage thoughts and emotions, and to problem-solve around life’s challenges. Mind body bridging: to connect your internal resources to life's emotional challenges.
