My Approach to Helping
If you're struggling with an eating issue, you know it’s not just about the food. Maybe restricting, bingeing, or purging started as a way to cope with trauma, stress, or overwhelming emotions. But now it feels like the eating issue is running your life. You’re stuck in a loop of obsessive thoughts and behaviors, disconnected from yourself and your loved ones, and wondering if healing is even possible. I know what it is like to be in that place. You’re not alone. And you don’t have to keep living this way. Together, we’ll work to reconnect you to your authentic self, your values, and build a life of meaning outside of your eating issue.
As an eating issue therapist with lived experience, I know how daunting the recovery process can feel. While no two journeys are the same, my experience gives me deep empathy for anyone struggling. I take a psychodynamic, IFS, feminist, and relational approach to help you find meaningful recovery. I am also trained in CBT, DBT, ERP, and I-CBT.
In therapy, we’ll gently explore what’s beneath the surface of your eating issue, the pain, patterns, and stories that deserve to be heard with compassion. In my experience, true healing begins when we address the roots of our suffering, not just the symptoms. I would be honored to walk alongside you- reach out today for a free consultation call.
