I specialize in working with young adults struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions and substance use. When we are anxious and overwhelmed, it can cause us to feel disconnected from others. Feeling stuck and stressed can trigger self-doubt and poor decision-making, and this chips away at our self-esteem. Personal challenges have taught me that tough times can be an opportunity to gain wisdom and resiliency. I can help you identify the core issues that are negatively impacting your life and deterring you from enjoying your life and achieving your goals. I am an ‘active’ therapist, who makes suggestions and offers guidance, as opposed to just asking “how does that make you feel”? I forge close relationships with clients, who appreciate my warmth, openness and good energy. I provide clients a safe, judgement-free space, where they feel heard, respected and supported. Using holistic and science-based methods, I teach clients solution-focused strategies that they implement in their daily life and for future bumps in the road. With my help, clients learn to step into their personal power. This increases their self-confidence, optimism, and self-awareness. If you are ready to step into your power, I can help you get there.
I believe that we are all meant to live happy lives, full of meaning. I feel strongly that the adversities we face in our lifetime can serve us well by providing us with the opportunity to gain a higher plain of purpose. My passion and excitement for providing psychotherapy stem from my desire to help individuals discover how they can use their negative experiences in a way that benefits their lives.
I believe therapy should be a supportive, collaborative, and emotionally safe space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Many of the women I work with are carrying significant pressure at work, in relationships, and in their personal lives while continuing to function through anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, and chronic stress. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in helping you better understand yourself while developing healthier and more sustainable ways of coping with life’s challenges. Together, we explore the patterns contributing to stress, overthinking, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, and difficulty slowing down while also identifying your strengths, values, and emotional needs. In therapy, my goal is to create a space where you can slow down, reflect, process what you have been carrying, and reconnect with yourself outside of constant responsibility and pressure. We work together to build healthier coping strategies, strengthen boundaries, improve emotional balance, and create a more sustainable relationship with work, relationships, and daily life. Therapy is not about “fixing” you. It is about helping you feel more grounded, emotionally supported, self-aware, and connected to yourself so you can move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Deciding to go to therapy is a difficult choice for most individuals. I try to make the therapy process as comfortable as I can, from the moment you walk through my door. I provide a safe and supportive environment where one is free to express themselves openly. I am patient, compassionate and understanding to my client's needs. Therapy can help an individual to overcome unresolved feelings, emotional pain, trauma, loss and hurt. I want to assist you in this journey towards a better "sense of self". I look forward to meeting you and beginning our journey together.
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. With over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I specialize in person-centered therapy, which enables me to create individualized treatment for each client I meet. Psychological evaluations are also offered to assess for attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), learning challenges, autism spectrum, and developmental delays. At our practice, we use humanistic therapy techniques. I employ a range of techniques, including play therapy, sandplay therapy, expressive therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and person-centered therapy. I believe that every individual or family is unique, and the treatment should be catered to their needs.
Each of us has a unique story that reflects our life experiences and helps to shape our perspective of the world around us and how we view ourselves. Therapy is an opportunity to explore and understand your life story, heal from painful emotions, identify and build upon your strengths, and create lasting change to improve your overall sense of well-being. As your therapist, I aim to foster a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where you feel safe to engage in self-exploration and reach your goals. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have training and experience working with teensadolescents, adults, and families dealing with diverse challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, life stressors, low self-esteem, and justice involvement. My approach to therapy is both person-centered and integrative as I believe it is important for us to develop a strong therapeutic relationship while also considering your specific needs. It takes courage to seek a happier and more fulfilling life. I am here to support you as you take these steps toward positive change.
Welcome! I’m Christina Jamison, LMHC. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like yourself lately, you’re in the right place. For the past 7 years, I’ve helped people move through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life’s transitions with more clarity, ease, and self-confidence. I also support athletes and performers who want to strengthen their mindset and reach their full potential. My approach is warm, supportive, and very practical. Using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered methods, we’ll work together to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and build real tools you can use in everyday life. If you’re ready to make meaningful changes, big or small, I’m here to help you get there. Clients often tell me they feel heard, understood, and more grounded after our sessions. You can expect to: gain clarity and self-awareness, heal from difficult or traumatic experiences, learn coping skills that actually stick, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life and version of yourself you truly want.
I founded The Lieberman Center for Psychotherapeutics to provide highly specialized, discreet psychiatric care for professionals navigating zero-failure environments. My clinical objective is to help you systematically deconstruct occupational burnout, achieve neurobiological stability, and restore your professional focus through a model that integrates precision psychopharmacology with advanced psychotherapeutic strategy.
It is my passion and honor to provide higher-quality counseling sessions to a wide variety of clients from many cultures, religions, and ethnicities. The self-affirming goal during our counseling sessions is to provide you with helpful support and understanding for renewed health and optimism. Our enlightened efforts together also guide you toward finding paths to greater self-fulfillment in relationships, career and personal growth. Whether or not presently in counseling, perhaps you owe yourself, and your loved ones, the opportunity to invest in several special counseling sessions, which I can provide (917-992-5334). Our counseling sessions will provide valuable knowledge, feedback and unique tools for ascendancy in meeting and possibly even exceeding your life's goals. Although no guarantees can truly exist in counseling (or life itself), still, your choosing a talented, widely recognized and experienced counselor to guide you is most often the wisest, most productive and joyful choice a caring person can pursue. We, as caring professionals, know that self-empowerment and deeper interpersonal satisfaction (intimacy) are well-worth advancing in our lives. With compassionate and knowledgeable guidance, these worthy pursuits can often occur, and your personal growth can be refined further during the process of enlightened and effective counseling. In the interest of better serving your needs and practical concerns, I also specialize in providing short-term effective counseling wherever possible or desired by you. This is an efficient and economical way of moving forward your personal goals within 4 to 10 sessions. I welcome you to set-up a counseling-consultation session with me, at your earliest convenience, to explore your "personal growth plan" that will help us understand and resolve the most important concerns and issues in your life. I can assure you that I will give you the total attention, compassion, respect and helpful feedback (suggestions and strategy) that you deserve, as we start the process of productive counseling.
