Hello all! My primary specialization is addiction counseling for both addicts and their loved ones. I work with a multitude of addictive disorders such as alcohol use, drug abuse, gambling, sexual addiction, video game addiction, and other behavioral addictions. Unlike traditional therapy that focuses on treating the person's addiction or psychological condition, I treat the entire person. I am a faith-based, holistic addictions counseling practice that treats my clients' mind, body, and spirit. Research indicates that when multiple aspects of a person's being are treated and engaged at the same time, the greater the outcome for success. I provide a safe environment to help my clients acquire positive coping skills, education about their addiction, new perspectives on recovery, form a recovery support network, and a relationship with God. Recovery is about treating the person, not just the addiction. I also offer services for family members since addiction is a family disease that can affect people in the greater system. Due to the sensitive nature of addiction, it is important to seek help from someone who understands. Having had my own personal recovery experience, I understand and relate to the challenges of maintaining one's recovery on a daily basis. I offer a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment in order to partner with my clients as we embark on a life towards recovery, healing, and restoration. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions!
At Peace and Wellness Center, we are committed to meet the emotional needs of our clients and to help them achieve a renewed sense of wellbeing. We believe that all people have the potential to achieve fulfilling and satisfying lives. The Center provides an array of behavioral therapy services to clients of different ages and backgrounds. Our psychotherapeutic services are tailored to our clients' needs in a nurturing and supportive environment. We are committed to providing compassionate and confidential care to our clients while they embark on a journey to achieve personal and emotional growth. Our goal is to always inspire and guide clients to identify their own inner peace, to harness it, and to use its tremendous power throughout the good and bad times in their lives. Therapy is most effective when there is a feeling of trust and when a strong connection is felt between therapist and client. Through experience, I have found that the client benefits from a first session where they can walk in and discuss their primary concerns and feelings without any pressure. Therefore, we offer an initial consultation. The initial consultation provides you the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the services we provide before you are asked questions about why you are seeking therapy. This initial consultation is also essential for us to assess what we need to know about the prospective client and to determine if the client and therapist are a good fit before we make an agreement to work together. Clients who have had an initial consultation approach their first session of therapy with a greater sense of comfort, commitment, and readiness. Each person has unique needs and goals for therapy. As skilled therapists, we bring a broad range of best practice knowledge gained from training, clinical and personal experiences. Therapy is a collaborative experience that develops as trust is established in an empathetic and nurturing therapeutic alliance. A well-prepared therapist understands just how challenging life can be and will help clients overcome the challenges that are impacting their quality of life.

People create meaningful change when they feel truly heard and validated. What I love most about being a therapist is having the privilege to be part of that journey—helping clients shift their perspective, face challenges, and reconnect with their sense of worth and potential so they can build a life aligned with their values. While I specialize in anxiety, panic disorders, and OCD, my work also spans a range of other areas, including support for creative professionals and those in the entertainment industry; men’s issues; sex and porn addiction; trauma; body and muscle dysmorphia; and LGBTQIA+ concerns. My foundation is in behavioral therapy, but I take an eclectic, integrative approach that draws on my specialties and certifications in CBT, ACT, ERP, and EMDR. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns, and I tailor our work to meet you exactly where you are in this moment of your life. Feel free to contact me or visit my website if you’d like to learn more and find out my latest availability. We can discuss what brings you to therapy and work out a plan to get you on the path toward leading a more fulfilling life. At present, in-person spaces are currently filled. Only telehealth spaces at present.

Being accepted to medical school at 17 years old, I share this deeper understanding of the mind-body connection with clients. I feel strongly about, and have experience helping, varied races and cultures. Please visit Zoc Doc “Sammy Touma” for more details. My experience spans anxiety, depression, relationships, transitions in life, self-image, and identity. Some areas of expertise are trauma and helping couples. My approach to working with people is based on listening carefully. Together we will create a space where we can explore past and present relationships and come to understand the many levels of your experience. The goal is to feel more in control and generally to feel more whole and enlivened. Over my 30 year career I have worked with all kinds of individuals and couples covering a broad range of emotional issues and life circumstances. I look forward to meeting you in a consultation to see if we are a good match to work together.
My philosophy is that therapy is an introduction to yourself. It is an invitation to become curious about who you were before life began reshaping, remolding, and programming you. That person is still there, waiting to be understood when you are ready to dig a little deeper. My clinical work is grounded in my graduate education in marriage and family therapy, along with ongoing training in trauma, attachment, and the ways early experiences shape adult life. I integrate psychodynamic therapy and psychoeducation to help clients better understand how past experiences, unconscious patterns, family-of-origin dynamics, and present challenges influence their emotions, relationships, and behavior. Drawing from my experience in foster care, child welfare, private practice, and telehealth, I offer a reflective space for adults and couples who want to explore anxiety, depression, trauma, relational patterns, sexual assaults, child abuse, and the parts of themselves they have had to silence or protect. My work is rooted in curiosity, insight, honesty, and compassion. I do not believe therapy is about becoming someone new as much as it is about returning to yourself with greater clarity.
If you're ready to better understand yourself, break free from self-doubt, and create a life that feels more authentic, therapy can help. Together, we'll explore how your past experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is to help you develop emotional maturity, strengthen self-awareness, and learn to embrace the present instead of living in anxiety or fear of what might happen. You'll gain practical tools to set healthy boundaries, prioritize your own needs without guilt, and build a life guided by your values rather than your fears. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, respect, and honesty. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. It does not have to feel stiff or clinical. Growth can include insight, practical tools, and even moments of humor. My goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and aligned with the version of yourself you want to become — not a “perfect” version, but a more authentic and self-assured one.
