My name is Michelle, and I am from rural Saskatchewan, now living in Calgary, Alberta. I have had the pleasure of working in nonprofit, educational, and hospital settings, in addition to my current experience in private practice. My specialty areas include working with trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, and depression. My approach to therapy includes exploring limiting beliefs, often formed in childhood, and working toward changing unhealthy patterns that result from these beliefs. I often integrate eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, cognitive behavioral therapy (), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy techniques, as well as attachment work, to best meet my clients' needs. In couples therapy, I take a nonjudgmental, unbiased approach to helping couples improve communication, build connection, and resolve conflict. In my work, I strive to be culturally competent and approach each person's unique identity with cultural humility. I would be honored to explore with you the darkest and brightest corners of your experience in hopes of inspiring positive change in your life.
